About Dr. Monica Varela

Born in Cali, Colombia Dr. Monica Varela is the head and founder of Just Breathe Sleep Dentistry. She graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Autonoma University in the  city of Manizalez, Colombia. After graduation, she moved to the Orlando Area and in 2007 completed her Master of Public Health at Nova South Eastern University. Soon after that, She was admitted to  the Advanced Education in Dentistry Program at the University of Florida from which she graduated with honors in 2012. 

It was in 2017 that Dr Varela developed  an interest in Dental Sleep Medicine and started to incorporate this knowledge into her daily dentistry.  After completion of the Mastery program by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, it is in August of 2021 that Dr. Varela is granted Diplomat  status by American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine

Dr. Varela is a general dentist and a Dental Sleep Dentist who practices at  different locations within Central Florida. She is passionate about learning and helping others achieve their goals. During her free time she enjoys outdoors activities, listening to nature, and the sounds of music.
